Touchstone Demand Surge Tool

The Touchstone® Demand Surge tool is for European model loss analysis with demand surge only. It allows Touchstone users to generate loss results table information to see what new demand surge factors were used in the loss calculation within a given loss analysis when the new country-specific demand surge was applied.

This tool is to access demand surge factors in Touchstone 2023 (11.0) only and will not be needed for Touchstone 11.5 to be released in January 2024.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Before you proceed:
   • Verify that Touchstone 2023 (11.0) was properly installed.
   • Verify that you have SQL Server permissions as Database System Administrator. 
   • Verify there are no active HPC jobs running.
2. Download and unzip the attached tool. 
3. Run Setup.exe in the Database folder. The InstallShield Wizard will guide you through each installation.
4. Continue with the instructions in the International Demand Surge Tool Installation Guide.
