Responding to the Florida OIR Catastrophe Model Support Questionnaire
Catastrophe Model Support Questionnaire and Attachments for the Verisk Hurricane Model for the U.S. in Touchstone 2023 and Touchstone 2024
As part of the filing requirements of the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (FLOIR), companies are mandated to submit responses to the Catastrophe Model Support Questionnaire when catastrophe model results are used in their rate making process. To assist clients meeting this requirement, Verisk has prepared a filing support package that contains a master document that provides guidelines for developing comprehensive responses to the FLOIR’s questions as well as attachments that would be included as supplementary material. This filing support package is developed to assist rate filings that utilize the Verisk Hurricane Model for the U.S. v2.0.0 as implemented in Touchstone 2023 and Touchstone 2024. For more information on the model/software versions and their acceptability in Florida, please reference the FAQ document Which Version of Touchstone can be used for Rate Filings in Florida? which can be found on the U.S. Regulatory Page
